Description
The ICY5114IN Transceiver is a transmitter/receiver that forms the link between the wireless network (ICY-Net) and the equipment present at the location in question. The Transceivers together form the ICY-Net because they can receive and pass on data until the data has arrived at the correct Transceiver (see ICY-Net for further explanation of the operation of the network). The Transceiver then passes on the data to the correct device within the location. For example, if you are the manager of a holiday park or factory and you want to change the settings of a certain Timer Thermostat, the software application ‘ICY Control Center’ sends a message to the network. This message is then passed on in a random route from Transceiver to Transceiver in the network until the addressed Transceiver is reached. This Transceiver then passes the message wirelessly to the Timer Thermostat that belongs to that location.
Wireless
With this transceiver, the existing ICY-Net equipment can be controlled, read out and programmed wirelessly from a central location. The transceiver is also equipped with a digital communication channel to which non-wireless ICY products can be connected, such as a cv pressure sensor.
Alarm function
The transceiver is equipped with two alarm functions as standard.
- Frost alarm
- Power failure alarm
The frost alarm will warn you when the temperature around the transceiver drops below a threshold set by you (e.g. 5 °C); you can then take measures to prevent pipes in the accommodation from freezing. You will also be alerted in the event of a mains power failure.
