Control your split unit with an ICY Timer Thermostat
More and more homes are equipped with an air/air heat pump with split units in the various rooms. We also see this trend in holiday homes.
With a heat pump, both heating and cooling are possible and due to the energy transition, this is a good alternative to conventional heating with a central heating system and cooling with an air conditioner. Split units are often operated by means of an infrared remote control. However, the use of separate remote controls is not convenient in holiday homes, because they get lost and because they run on batteries. For this reason, but especially to enable remote control of the split units in these homes, ICY has developed the ICY5313IRC InfraRed Controller. This makes it possible to send a “Warm Welcome” or “Cool Welcome” to a home, so that guests arrive in a home with a pleasant climate. In addition, the split units are put on standby when there is no booking at the home. The split units can be set by your guests using our energy-saving ICY Timer Thermostat. The InfraRed Controller is configurable for any brand and type of air conditioner/heat pump and operates on 230V.
