Description
The Power Switch enables wireless control of heating systems. It forms the link between the thermostat and the heating appliance. The Power Switch can be used for electric heating and for central heating.
Electric heating
The electric heating is set to maximum, but the power is interrupted by the Power Switch until there is a heat demand. The ICY 1845IN Timer Thermostat sends a message to the Power Switch(es) when there is a heat demand and this switches on the electric heating(es). The Power Switch switches by means of a relay with a maximum load of 230V AC / 16 A
Central heating
The Power Switch is installed at the central heating boiler. An ICY 1845IN Timer Thermostat is installed in one or more rooms. This is wired to the servo motors of the radiator valves. When there is a demand for heat, the thermostat opens the radiators and sends a message to the Power Switch, so that the central heating boiler starts firing. A short delay is built into the Power Switch, which ensures that the boiler only starts firing when the radiator valves are turned open.
