Saving energy: how it works

ICY thermostats ensure that the heating is never left on unnecessarily. If the student forgets to turn the thermostat down, the thermostat automatically goes down when it sees no movement for a certain time or when it is dark. If the student is away for more than a day, for example, the Timer Thermostat will automatically go to the anti-frost mode with an even lower temperature. In addition, the thermostat’s settings can be limited so that the thermostat can, for example, never be set higher than 22˚C. Saving extra energy at short stay

Short-stay students are often students from abroad. These are used to setting the thermostat high and controlling the temperature by opening windows or doors. Particularly if students rent a property including energy, energy costs will not motivate them to be careful with heating.

ICY thermostats have a temperature limitation. You choose the maximum temperature they can set. That way, the thermostat can never be set absurdly high.

Wireless control

ICY Control Center is the software application that makes it possible to set and read ICY thermostats wirelessly. If you want slightly different settings for a particular student than for another student, you can easily change these settings from your PC. You can also connect other devices to ICY Control Center, so that you can use them to read smart meters, smoke detectors, alarm systems, etc.
